Since Microsoft has discontinued their retail Image Editing line of
software..they have added limited editing options to Windows Live
Photo Gallery. IMHO..there's no comparison to Picture It! / Digital
Image.
Personally I always loved the Picture It! programs and moved to
MS Digital Image when MS changed the name. I still use Digital
Image Suite 2006 and feel it is the easiest to use most intuitive
image editing software.
Even though the line is discontinued..copies can still be found
at online sites like Ebay and Amazon. There's a 60 day trial
version still available you can download if you would like to try
it out.
Be aware if you purchase a copy there will be no support or
updates..the line is completely discontinued.
(FWIW..it's always a good idea to create a System
Restore point before installing software or updates)
